Will Smith's 'I am Legend' Sequel in the Works

Will Smith's "I Am Legend" is getting a long-awaited sequel.

It has been 16 years since its initial release in 2007, earning $585 million worldwide.

Smith is returning to reprise his iconic role as Robert Neville, the virologist who survived a devastating man-made plague. Acclaimed actor Michael B. Jordan will join Smith in this highly-anticipated sequel."

"Avika Goldsman, the writer of 'I Am Legend,' has disclosed that the upcoming film will continue the story from the conclusion of Richard Matheson's 1954 novel, upon which the movie was originally based."
