Drew Barrymore Dropped as Host of '2023 National Book Awards'

Drew Barrymore will no longer host National Book Awards.

The National Book Foundation has rescinded the invitation after Barrymore's talk show, "The Drew Barrymore Show," resumed production during Writers Guild of America (WGA) and SAG-AFTRA strikes.

The foundation published a statement on the 'X' platform, “In light of the announcement that The Drew Barrymore Show will resume production, the National Book Foundation has rescinded Ms Barrymore’s invitation to host the 74th National Book Awards Ceremony.” 

The 2023 National Book Awards is scheduled for Nov. 15 in New York.
