The £2.99 Trick that Turns Tired Old High Heels into Designer-Like Shoes
If your shoe collection is in need of an update but you're feeling a bit strapped for cash, listen up -this quick fashion fix might be just what your wardrobe needs.
Inspired by the iconic pillar box red sole of French designer Christian Louboutin's heels, ShoeLicks are an easy way of jazzing up tired footwear.
ShoeLicks are brightly-coloured, eye-catching stickers that you apply to the soles of your shoes.
For a cheap and cheerful £2.99, the stickers are a simple and effective fashion update.
ShoeLicks are one-size-fits-all and come with a handy three-step guide which makes them easy to apply.
They're also waterproof and easy-to-remove, so you won't have any fashion mishaps.
From summery pastels such as lavender lilac and mint ice-cream green to pretty floral, leopard print and monochrome graphic designs, there's something to suit everyone's taste.
The purse-friendly brand have also launched a metallic collection that they say is "the perfect way to shine on the dance floor this party season".
Founder Charlotte King, who has appeared on Dragon's Den, is in talks with Urban Outfitters, ASOS and London's V&A museum, who all want to stock the product.
She is also discussing stockist options overseas in the form of American giant Walmart and Paris-based brand Le Bon Marche.
The quirky brand is currently stocked online and at River Island.
Charlotte said: "Are girls ready to put stickers on their heels?"
"After the booming nail sticker trend last year, we definitely think so!"
Charlotte also says ShoeLicks are an eco-friendly as well as bank balancing-pleasing way to approach fashion.
"Instead of buying a new pair of heels, we’re giving our cheaper high street heels a unique, designer touch whilst also getting multiple looks from just the one pair of heels."
ShoeLicks have already gathered a host of celebrity fans including former TOWIE star Amy Childs, Gogglebox's Scarlett Moffatt, Kerry Katona and the girls from Saturday night ITV show Take Me Out.
For those who want to add a personal touch for occasions such as hen parties, wedding favours and birthdays, ShoeLicks also do a bespoke line.
For an order minimum of 12 you can design your own stickers, with the possibility they will later be stocked on the company's website.
