Dubai Media Council's New Mandate

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has issued a law and two decrees expanding the mandate of Dubai Media Council. 

The Council is now the regulatory authority for media activities in the emirate, including special development and free zones. The Dubai Film and TV Commissions has been integrated under its umbrella, making it the primary authority for governing and developing the film and gaming sectors, nurturing local talent, and attracting investments.

New offices established under Dubai Media Council:

- Dubai Films and Games Commission

- Dubai Media Permits Office
