Hannah Einbinder grew up in Los Angeles, the daughter of comedy writer Chad Einbinder and original Saturday Night cast member Laraine Newman. After graduating with a BFA in television writing and production from Chapman University in Orange, California, she appeared in the New Faces showcase at the 2019 Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, Canada, and was named by National Public Radio as one of the 10 standouts to watch.

Einbinder was the youngest person to do a stand-up comedy set on The Stephen Colbert Show in 2020 and now stars in the HBO Max series Hacks as struggling TV writer Ava Daniels, opposite Jean Smart as legendary comedian Deborah Vance. The series received a total of three 2022 Golden Globe nominations, including another Best Television Actress – Musical/Comedy Series for Jean Smart, and Best Musical/Comedy Series.
