Emma Stone delivers a touching BAFTA acceptance speech
"In a time that's so divisive, I think it's really special that we were all able to come together tonight."
Tonight's BAFTA Film Awards were full of emotional and rousing speeches, so when it came time for Emma Stone to pick up the award for Leading Actress, it was only fitting the La La Land star would follow suit.
It's the third major award the actress has picked up for the role this year (she has also won a Golden Globe and an SAG award for her efforts), and it's fair to say Emma was a little teary.
So teary, in fact, that she stumbled over her words in an inspiring speech that referenced everything from troubled times to climate change. But sadly no awkward hug this time around.
"This is an unbelievable honour," she said. "Thank you, BAFTA.
